Canine Hindlimb Bones Update: Individual Bones and Landmarks
We've released an update to our canine hindlimb bones content, with two new things to try. 🦴 It follows the same approach as our canine forelimb bones update.
Select the individual bones
You can now select all of the individual bones of the hindlimb, which you couldn't do before. To make it easier to navigate as you move down the leg, turn on autofocus, and the selected object becomes the focus of the camera.
Whole landmark regions, not buttons
Instead of using small spheres or buttons to mark the anatomical landmarks, you can now hover over and select the entire area relevant to a landmark. That way you see the full extent of the region the term refers to, which is much closer to how you'll palpate it or find it on a radiograph.
Split the bones apart
Sometimes the anatomy you want is hidden by other bones. For example, where the femur and tibia overlap, you can split them apart to get to the anatomy underneath. There are two ways to do the same thing: press the space bar or use the play button.
