Equine Forelimb Muscles in 3D, Scanned From a Real Limb

Something you've been asking for for a while now is the musculature of the horse, and we're really happy to bring you the first piece of it: the equine forelimb muscles. 💪🏼

Scanned from a real limb

This was taken from a real scan of an equine forelimb, so the layout of the musculature is extremely accurate.

One thing to note

Unlike most of our other content, you can't hide the muscles once you've interacted with them, because it comes from a scan of a real limb. Apart from that, all the controls are the same:

  • Left click a structure to get more information about it
  • Pan using the right mouse button
  • Press the C key to reset your view

Test yourself with MCQs

All the normal features, like our Test Yourself modes, are available too. In MCQ mode, a muscle is highlighted and you decide which one you think it is from a list of options. It's a great way to check your forelimb knowledge before practicals or lameness work-ups.

More equine content coming

When we released this, the hindlimb musculature was next in line, with more equine content following shortly after. Have a play and let us know what you think.
