Live Labelling: Labels That Update as You Slice the Heart

We're proud to have built a new system that labels anatomical structures on the fly (this needed some quite complicated maths!). We call it the live labelling system, and we're putting it to great use in our cardiac content. 🧡

Labels that follow your section

In our Canine Heart Live Section, you drag a plane through the heart. Now, as you change the section, the labels update in real time to tell you exactly what you're cutting through, such as the aortic valve, the atria and the right ventricular outflow tract. It adds so much learning value. If you'd rather test yourself, you can turn the labels off in the bottom right corner.

Live labels in the echo simulator

We've also added live labels to our canine echo simulator. As you move the probe (with the W, A, S and D keys), the reference heart shows exactly which structures your slice is passing through, and the labels update on the ultrasound screen in the top right corner too. You can turn the labels off, and turn off the reference heart for a true echo experience, because in real life you only have your patient and the echo screen. For everything else that's new in the simulator, see our echo simulator update.
