The Canine Brain Ventricles in 3D
We've put out an update to our canine neurology content: the ventricular system of the canine brain. 🧠 This is the system through which cerebrospinal fluid flows, and seeing it in 3D shows you a few things that are hard to appreciate from textbook diagrams.
How small some of the ducts are
One of the most interesting things to see is how small some of the ducts are. Once you've seen it, it's much easier to appreciate how something like obstructive hydrocephalus can develop.
A foramen that's more of a passageway
On the other hand, the interventricular foramen, between the lateral ventricles and the third ventricle, is actually really quite large. It's much more of a passageway than a foramen!
Click, explore and test yourself
As always, you can click on and interact with every part of the system. You can also test yourself directly within the content, either with multiple choice questions or by typing the name of a structure.
More brain content
When we released this, we had more brain content on the way, namely the brainstem and the cranial nerves. We hope you get some value out of all of it.
